Environmental Protection Effort
- Resource conservation
We promote the conservation of resources by employing recycled plastic in exterior panels, developing longer-lasting consumables, and keeping our products compact.
- Reduced Environmental impact
The world is increasingly demanding products that minimize environmental impact, such as the RoHS (Restriction of the use of Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment) Directive since 2006. Through eco-friendly policies, Toshiba will continue complying with strict environmental standards and reducing environmental impact.
- Energy savings
Toshiba keeps raising product energy efficient by choosing materials and improving the fusing method, which accounts for a large percentage of energy use.
- Environmental labelling
Our products comply with stringent environmental standards around the world, such as International *Energy Star and ^Eco Mark.
*The ENERGY STAR label can be attached to OA equipment whose standby electricity consumption is less than the prescribed standard. This program has been implemented as an optional registration system certified by both the US and Japanese governments, since October 1995. Many models of the multifunction printers in and outside Japan comply with this program.
^The Eco Mark is a Japanese environmental label established by the Japan Environment Association in 1989.It is attached to products, which are judged to generate fewer environmental impacts at the stages from production to disposal and to be useful for environmental protection. TOSHIBA TEC copiers and multifunction peripherals are certified. For more information, please go to http://www3.toshiba.co.jp/mfp/prod/pro_list.htm
