Office users will be impressed by the natural and vivid image and graphics through the ICC profile. This will help users to achieve the desired color quality. For instance, the Marketing department can produce colored printing jobs in-house instead of having them out-sourced. This will save time and cost, at the same time cuts down communications problem and provides more flexibility.

The new hanging finisher option also allows online finishing features such as stapling up to 50 sheets and stacked offset output for up to 1000 sheets at very low costs. The Slim PDF function is also beneficial to users. It is able to compress a high PDF file to a much smaller file size, thus, allowing the handling of scanned data process to be even more convenient and productive.

In addition to the Slim PDF function, the USB Direct Print and Scan to USB functions provides added efficiency. The USB Direct Print allows users to print out data directly from USB memory, while the Scan to USB function can save the scanned data directly in the USB memory. The USB memory is set in the USB port of e-STUDIO2820c/3520c/4520c system. Both functions are very useful when a document is required urgently; when there is no computer; or even when there is no access to network environment. These two features are easy to operate and can be completed right in front of the e-STUDIO system. There is no need for special setting.

Toshiba’s renowned ease-of-use function has offered more product simplicity to users. The 8.5” WVGA touch panel with tilt-adjustable design gives an easy navigation. There is also a customized menu screens which allows personal templates to be created and access, with just a simple touch of a button. Document management and distribution is so much easier with the new e-STUDIO system. Incoming faxes, for instance, can be automatically re-route to email address of the recipient; invoices and other documents can be scanned, saved on a network volume and sent to a group of people for further processing. All these with just a push of a button! By using the optional Re-Rite software, such documents can even be transformed back to their original file format, like Word, Excel or PDF. Another user-friendly function worth mentioning is the scan preview on the touch panel. User can adjust or correct the scan settings on e-STUDIO2820c/3520c/4520c panel without having to run back to the Personal Computer to adjust the scan settings.

The new e-STUDIO2820c/3520c/4520c series are designed to deliver a full range of business security solutions, both in the network and for individual user. These solutions will give user a total peace of mind knowing that confidential documents are protected, and at the same time ensures simpler operability. For example, the Hardcopy Security Printing function prevents unauthorized copying of documents. When unauthorized personnel attempt to copy a confidential document, a hidden word such as “Confidential” or “Copy” inlay by the creator, will appear on the document. Other security features like the standard AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) help to scramble data on the hard disk; an optional Data Overwrite function prevents actual data from e-STUDIO hard disk drive from being leaked. The Role Based Access Control is an added function to permit a new guest account, such as unregistered customer or temporary staff to use the limited functions in the e-STUDIO system.
