The BNH Hospital was one of the first private hospitals in Thailand established more than a century ago in 1898. Today, it has become one of the leading hospitals in South East Asia and provides the highest quality of medical services with its world-renowned medical facilities, equipment and specialists.
In the past, patients who visited the hospital had to go through a long and tedious process of filling up forms for registration, waiting for their turn with the doctor and another round of waiting to collect their medicine and make payment. This process is not only time consuming and at the same time, causing inefficiency to the entire system.
With the technology advancement in recent years, all data have been stored in a centralized system after the patient’s first visit to the hospital. Upon repeating visits, they in turn go through a much simpler registration process of retrieving data from the system and proceed directly to wait for the doctor. This significantly reduced work-flow and resulted in time and cost efficiency.
This allowed Mr. Santi Boasong, Head of IT Department of BNH hospital, to relate the work-flow of the hospital to everyday office matters. He said, "the focus of BNH is not only on the IT system, we are also concerned about the Office Automation Products that are being used in the hospital.” BNH hospital, which has a strong brand name and reputation, is stringent on the type of digital multifunction printers that they choose. “We will compare among the various brands available in the market in order to ensure the multifunction printer (MFP) that we chose meet BNH's standard,” says Mr. Boasong. “Our main concern is on the after sale service and cost efficiency,” he added.
Mr. Boasong also stated that although Toshiba e-STUDIO MFPs are relatively new in the Thai market, he believes the machines endorsed a high quality standard and comprises of numerous features and functions that are needed in the day-to-day operation of the hospital.
Some of the MFP functions used by BNH are print, copy and scan which produce excellent results with vivid and sharp output and the process requires minimum effort from the users. “With the increase in quality and productivity, it in turn helps our IT department to save time and cost,” said Mr. Boasong.
The after sales service provided by the FMA, the authorized distributor of Toshiba e-STUDIO MFPs, is also another crucial factor. “They (FMA) constantly provide us with their best service and support that we need much to our satisfaction,” recalled Mr. Boasong.
